Maple Glazed Pumpkin Donuts
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 15-20 minutes | Course: Snack or Dessert | Servings: 6 Donuts
There's something magical about the flavors of pumpkin and maple, and these donuts bring them together perfectly. With the warmth of pumpkin spice and a sweet maple glaze, they’re ideal for satisfying your fall cravings. Plus, since they're baked instead of fried, they're a lighter treat you can feel good about!
Made with pumpkin puree, almond milk, and brown sugar, these donuts are moist, tender, and full of autumn goodness. The pumpkin adds sweetness and a soft texture, while the maple glaze gives them just the right amount of indulgence.
Whether you're making them for brunch or as a cozy snack with your coffee, these donuts are easy to whip up in under 30 minutes. So, grab your donut pan and let’s get baking!
Donut Ingredients:
1 & 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed (I use a stevia-blend brown sweetener)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
1/4 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling!)
2 & 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup almond milk (any type of milk will do)
Maple Glaze Ingredients:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
1 & 1/2 cups confectioners sugar, plus more if needed to reach desired consistency
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously grease a donut pan (set aside).
In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients (flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder, and pumpkin spice).
In a medium bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients (butter, pumpkin puree, and milk).
Gently mix the wet ingredient mixture with the dry ingredient mixture until just combined (do not over-mix).
Spoon the mixture into the prepared donut plan and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly pressed.
Allow the donuts to cool in the pan before transferring to a cooling rack.
In the meantime, mix together the maple glaze ingredients in a small bowl.
Once the donuts have cooled completely, dip them into the maple glaze and repeat until all donuts have been covered.
Serve and enjoy!
P.S. Shout-out to my lovely hairdresser, Kim, for helping me figure out the pizazz these donuts needed after taste-testing the first batch! Xoxo!
