The baker behind the blog.

Hi! I’m Liz - the baker behind this blog. I’m so glad you’ve stumbled upon my little corner of the internet.

This baking journey of mine, at least the love for it anyway, started when I was just a youngin’, watching my mom and all my aunts whip up amazing meals and treats from scratch. I was fascinated by the way they could take simple ingredients like flour, sugar, and eggs and turn them into something magical (and delicious!). I was hooked. I started experimenting with my own recipes and before I knew it, baking had become one of my favorite hobbies. In fact, my first ever recipe that I memorized was page 496 of the Fannie Farmer Cookbook - "Griddlecakes." I kid you not!

Fast forward to today, I’m even more passionate about baking and sharing my latest goodies with the world (and staring at whomever tries them eagerly awaiting their feedback - don’t pretend like you don’t do this!).

I'm in my early thirties, living in a cute little town in Massachusetts with my incredibly talented partner, Garrett, and our pup, Nala, in a home we just bought together in December 2023. Garrett’s no baker, but he is my number one fan and taste-tester and always gives me honest feedback on my latest creations so I can make them even better - which I can then share with all of you!

In addition to baking, I also work a corporate job and own an online nutrition and fitness coaching business (@nrsh.co) - even with those two on my hands, I do also try to spend as much time as possible in the kitchen, and when I’m not there, I’m either outdoors, in the gym or plopped on the couch just spending time with my squad. I started this blog as a gentle way to empower others who, like me, have a passion and want to start something on their own.

Whether you're interested in baking or something else entirely, I hope that my little blog inspires you to just get out there and create something amazing and that you’re proud of.

Thanks for stopping by,

Liz

Dedication: This baking blog is dedicated to my forever puppy, Isis (a.k.a. Icy), who we had to say goodbye to on February 7, 2024 after loving her for 12.5 too-short, incredible years. We miss you each and every day and love you infinitely.
